Boxing training routines come in many different forms. From this page you can find out how I as a boxing coach develop the boxers that I work with. These techniques are not something that I have gained from a book. I have developed these techniques after a lifetime in the sport of boxing.

Getting Physical with the Heavy Bag

The heavy bag is instantly identifiable with the boxing gym and the boxing training routine. For the majority of fighters, the very first thing that they actually ‘hit’ is the heavy bag. The Next Step…

One of the finest ways to learn the movement, speed and power required in boxing is to use the punch pads, also known as the focus mitts. The Psychology of Fighting

Whilst building the skills, strength and speed are of course vital, the psychology of boxing has demands all of its own. Whilst pressure exists in many sports, the fact that in boxing you encounter a highly trained opponent who is seeking to beat you up brings an additional level of stress.
