3 Boxing Combos for 3 Tactical Situations

Boxing combos can be about just throwing your punches, that’s fine. What about when building your boxing combos you think about the tactical situation you face? So make your boxing combo suit the type of opponent you face.

3 Boxing Combos

In the video I work through 3 boxing combos. The first of the boxing combos deals with a static opponent. You maintain your position and use the lay back to take you out of striking range for returning shots. You can finish the boxing combo on a solid jab.

The 2nd of the boxing combos is dealing with the defensive opponent, and we build in the roll and an attacking left hook to deliver the killer punch. This is one of those boxing combos that works well against a taller opponent too.

The 3rd of our boxing combos deals with the offensive opponent, the fighter who tries to walk you down. This is about using boxing combos that allow you to fire shots as you retreat, so you are as much of a threat on the back foot as you are on the front foot. This is one of the boxing combos that also works well against a shorter opponent.

So what boxing combos can you build for these tactical situations?

Cheers

    Hi Fran
Great practical techniques once again mate, my first trainer always told us to finish your combo’s with a left hand, as it leaves you in the gaurd position, love the power jab at the end, A great example is Buster Douglas’s finish against Tyson, Keep up the great work mate.

    Kind Regards Paul Murphy.
