These boxing drills are designed to build some pre-set sequences for counter punching.

This video is a follow up lesson to the 3 Top Tips for Counter Punching…I recommend watching that video before tackling this one.

Boxing Drills for Counter Punching

There are 9 drills across 3 rounds:

ROUND 1
JAB – LAYBACK – JAB
JAB – LAYBACK – ONE TWO
JAB – SLIP IN – JAB
JAB – SLIP OUT – BACKHAND

ROUND 2
JAB – BACK HAND BLOCK – 3 STRAIGHT
FEINT – LEAD HAND BLOCK – 3 STRAIGHT
JAB – DOUBLE ARM BLOCK – 3 STRAIGHT

ROUND 3
BLOCK LEFT SIDE – RIGHT HOOK BODY – RIGHT UPPERCUT HEAD
BLOCK RIGHT SIDE – LEFT HOOK BODY – LEFT UPPERCUT HEAD

Each round is 2 minutes in duration and you can take a 30 second rest in between each round.

You can do this boxing drills at any time, no need to be in the throes of full gym session…any time you have a spare 7 minutes you can work to build your counter punching expertise!
