Boxing Tips – Dealing with Fatigue

We all get tired during a tough boxing training session, spar or fight.

The trick is to ensure that you push on and continue to function.

I have produced a new 90 Second Boxing Tips video that gives you 4 tips on fatigue, how to ideally avoid it but when it comes how to properly deal with it.

This is not rocket science but is well worth some time to review and think about how to manage a situation when you are in the throes of fatigue.

If you cannot control yourself, how do you hope to control an opponent?

Dealing with fatigue

The tips are:

1. Do the right boxing training to avoid fatigue in the first place
2. Use efficient punches
3. Avoid close range when the opponent is not tired
4. Get your breathing right.

I hope that this latest boxing tips video helps out 🙂

Cheers

Fran

I love running, both distance and sprints. I have however been getting cramps in my calf, mainly the lower part, that severely limit my running capacity. Any suggestions on how to deal with that would be most appreciated. Thanks for the video!

      Hey Kris.

Good static stretching exercises for the calves (YouTube) and maybe reducing running and going with exercise bike/rowing machine.

Thank you Fran for all your knowledge and hard work. Keep up the good work. Do you have any advice on nutrition? What are some of your favorite fights to watch?

    • Fran August 14, 2017, 5:57 pm

      Hey Anthony

Nothing specific on nutrition, will put something together.

My favourite fighters to watch? I have tons of them. Of the current crop Lomachenko (especially) and Rigondeaux are two that I would study endlessly. Here’s my list top 10 favorites of all time (posted a while ago). There’s also stuff on Rigo and Lomachenko on the site – do a search and enjoy 🙂
