The Right Gum Shield – Find It and Fit It

Have gum shield will travel – an old boxing saying that describes the ever-dependable journey man.

As long as this one piece of equipment is in the gym bag, the journey man will go anywhere and fight anyone.

Regardless of your level, even if you just partake in the occasional spar, the gum shield is clearly a vital piece of protective equipment for the boxer.

In this short video I will talk you through the basics of getting the right gum shield at the right price.

An important bit of advice that many may not know is that you shouldn’t buy a gum shield that is red, or has any red on at all for that matter…I explain why in the video.

Gum Shield

This particular gum shield was sent to me by Mouth Armour London.

The link below will take you to Amazon where you can find all about it.

If you do buy via this link then I receive a small commission.

I must admit, I was really impressed by this gum shield. Quick to prepare and an absolutely perfect fit.

If you have any questions then let me know.

Cheers

Fran

The amazon link is not appearing for me on Firefox, but it is through Google Chrome. Just a heads up.

Thanks for all the content, Fran. Appreciate it.

The Amazon link worked for me, and wouldn’t you know it they show a red one. Recently I saw a guy getting knocked out and there were traces of blood in his mouth, so I instantly see the point of avoiding any red colour. This was quite disturbing for me, because i’m basically a Pacifist and I wouldn’t want to do this to anybody myself. Anyway I made a note of the “Mouth Armour” brand name.

Thanks for the feedback Frank. Yes, AIBA really don’t like red gumshields! I guess Mouth Armour do red ones for other sports.

Fran the link did not come up on my email. I simply do not want you to lose out on your commission. Very good info on these emails by the way.
    Be well Fran ,

Don’t worry about the commission pal, as long as you get some good advice and can find a solid solution that’s what matters.

      Thanks though…very kind of you.
