Cheers Chris, and very true, no substitute for good quality sparring especially when learning how to deal with people trying to chin you!

Thanks Fran. It stands to reason that it would help the flinch reflex I guess. Also I remember a video I saw on youtube of one of the Klitschkos hitting the speedbag just the once quite hard and then moving his head left and right to avoid being hit by the bag coming towards him, maybe a similar sort of thing.

Very interesting video Fran and great tips. I’m sure that I read somewhere that using a speedball or a double-end bag helps deal with the flinch reflex as you get used to a fast moving object going towards your head. Any thoughts on this?

      Hello Tommy

Funny you mention it, I’ve been using the double-end bag myself a lot just recently – great bit of kit that definitely would help in respect of the flinch reflex.
