Build Your Best Boxing Combos

In this boxing training video we are going to look at building some top boxing combos using my 3 T’s principle. You will be able to build your own super-effective boxing combos using this simple pattern.

Build Your Best Boxing Combos

So what are my 3 T’s when it comes to building boxing combos?

Target, trajectory and transition.

The 1st ‘T’ of target is quite simple – we target our punches to either the head or the body.

The 2nd ‘T’ is trajectory. The trajectory of your punch can either go for the centreline (up the middle), or the flanks (to either side). AS a general rule, if you are standing in front of your target, straight shots and uppercuts target the centre line, hooks target the flanks.

The final ‘T’ of our boxing combos building is transition. A transition can happen before, during or after your boxing combos and cam be a footwork skill, a body movement skill or a defensive skill.

I should add that my favourite of all boxing combos is the simple old one-two. I like boxing combos that can win fights, and to be quite honest a well executed one-two is one of those boxing combos that can win a fight on it’s own.

Check out the video for my favourite other boxing combos. We have a couple of boxing combos at long range and the rest at closer range. We use straights, hooks, uppercuts, footwork, defences and body movement.

After this video, there is nothing stopping you building your own boxing combos to using in your boxing training.

Cheers

Fran
